Yep. Thats a silly little bug someone made.

sdla_fr.c:4351: structure has no member named `ida_list'
And this one is brilliant. Whoever hacked the printk levels in this file
didn't even bother compiling them before submitting.

Fixed in 2.4.19pre8-ac1 when it appears (should be ifa_list).

I don't think that this one is fix-able (good that it is only a
warning).
Depending on CONFIG options, dma_addr_t could be 32 bits (producing a
warning) or could be 64 bits (and so requiring the code).

NeilBrown

### Comments for ChangeSet
Fix some compiling problems with umem.c

1/ set_bh_page is now exported, so we don't need our own copy
2/ linux/interrupt.h needed to be included.

Sorry for my ignorance Marcelo,

but why don't we see the "outstanding" VM fixes even if the -19 cycle i=
s so=20
long, then?

So we see posts like "...hurray, the O(1)-scheduler is so much faster..=
=2E" and=20
"...-jam6, too..." (including the spiltted vm33), etc.

All this numbers are known for months.

Do you think the pending VM stuff goes into -20, at least?

Thanks,

Sorry for my ignorance Marcelo,

but why don't we see the "outstanding" VM fixes even if the -19 cycle=

long, then?
Andrea VM changes are touching performance and stability critical parts=
of
the code. I cannot simply merge of all them at one time.

What I'm doing is to merge each part separately (for example, 2.4.19 wi=
ll
have the writeout scheduling changes) so they can be tested separately =
by
lots of people when final releases are done.

Also I'm trying to understand his changes. I'm not going to merge
senseless stuff.

The writeout scheduling changes were excellent.

So we see posts like "...hurray, the O(1)-scheduler is so much faster=

"...-jam6, too..." (including the spiltted vm33), etc.
All this numbers are known for months.

Do you think the pending VM stuff goes into -20, at least?
Hopefully.

I think the following patch should fix it:

One might ask why 2.4.19 is taking so long to be released.
That's actually a very good thing, it force impatient people
to get their experimental stuff into 2.5.X and try it there
first. That should make 2.5.X up-to-date and hopefully patches going
into 2.4.X more solid (who say compile error ?).
Actually, if I were you, I would drop anything that has not
baked for a few days in 2.5.X, but that's not my call.

Have fun...

Jean

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in
/src/2.4.19-pre8/debian/tmp-image/lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/char/drm/sis.o
depmod: sis_free
depmod: sis_malloc

So setting:

CONFIG_AGP_SIS=n

This has been there for a while IIRC.
